ELLE Belgium just nominated us in their January edition for “10 young talents that are going to make it in 2014”. And we didn’t even wear Louis Vuitton. Great start of 2014, now the heat is really on.
A quick translation…
One of them wanted to be a vet, another one dreamt of being a roadie for Metallica or AC/DC, others wanted to be astronauts. The people at the Antwerp mobile app development agency WebComrades shared wild dreams in an era where mobile apps didn’t even exist. Today wild dreams still exist: “Conquering the digital world on mobile is what our website says” reveals co-founder Tom Claes. “That’s still true today.” Mid 2011 he launched WebComrades with his partners Stijn Opheide and Bas Pellis. Today Raquel, Thomas, Stijn and Bart have joined the team. What they do: guiding companies -mostly based in the UK, Scandinavia & The Netherlands- with the conversion of their business & services to mobile and digital. In Belgium they caught the attention with several sports applications and the app for Velo Antwerpen, the app for the city’s bike share service. The latter was also successfully rolled-out in Zaragoza, New York, Chicago and San Francisco in 2013. When asked about their big dream, all seven agree: “Everyone on the team is an adventurer; working from an exotic location sounds like a nice goal.”
